Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, we have the Mzee Jomo Kenyatta Mausoleum. We honour the old man because he fought for our freedom but we need to move further and honour other great men and women in the country. For instance, we should have a mausoleum for Paul Ngei in Eastern Province and another one for Mr. Stanley Oloitiptip. The mausoleums can also be tourist attraction centres and foreigners can also visit them. The mausoleums can also create employment for the people who will be taking care of them. Joe Kadenge was great and we need to remember him. He used ...

Hon. Deputy Speaker, I am a very worried person because Mumias West extends all the way to Trans Nzoia. The mention that guns are in loose hands is a bit saddening. The best the police could do is to go to the ground and try to get information from the people instead of beating them up. The situation is worrying. Hon. Naicca has done the right thing to bring that matter here. At the same time, we request the police to go slow. I know they The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified ...

It is not humane. I know they are in panic, but the best thing for them to do is to go slow and get information from the Nyumba Kumi elders instead of beating up the locals.

Hon. Deputy Speaker, I take the view that Members are a bit disappointed that the Report has not been brought to this House. I am a very dedicated Member of the Departmental Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperatives. You should start from what the Members of the Committee have agreed on. Members have explained that we have actually met. Our reference to the Executive does not mean that we are hiding anything. Some of the issues are very technical. We also have technical staff in the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health. We have met them and deliberated ...
