  • 7 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the answer could be partially true or correct. However, I wonder; if the allocation is per needs, when did the Ministry visit Kagumo Teachers Training College to notice that it is in dire need of funds for rehabilitation of its old buildings, which are in need of repair? view
  • 7 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to be ICT savvy, but you probably will have to bear with us as we learn and catch up with you. My last question is; the Assistant Minister is probably aware that Kagumo TTC is a diploma college with ICT laboratories. Knowing as he does that we do not have enough teachers of ICT in our secondary and primary schools, what is he doing to support Kagumo TTC to produce enough ICT teachers for our secondary and primary schools? view
  • 1 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. I come from the region the hon. Member has referred to and I am not aware of those practices. Could he substantiate those allegations? view
  • 1 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. Is the hon. Member in order to use individual cases to stereotype a whole community or region as engaging in malpractices? view
  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise on a point of order to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Foreign Affairs on the status report regarding Kenyans who were arrested in Comoros recently. (a) Why were they arrested; how are they and what are they being detained for? (b) How soon can he ensure that we bring these Kenyans back home safely? (c) What is the status of their health? view
  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I think the hon. Member should not mislead this House and the nation. What kind of borrowing is he talking about? What was the duration of borrowing? The borrowing that we have in mind and we are aware of is overnight borrowing. view
  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to oppose this Motion. I rise to oppose it because when you see a number of factors moving; inflation, exchange rate and interest rates, these are manifestations of something wrong in the economy. Regulating the economy is not like making instant coffee. We must agree, as a country, first and foremost that we have been living beyond our means. This is because we have been importing everything and anything. Why do we have to do that? What we import must be paid for by meager export earnings we have as a country. The speaker ... view
  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: They are in business! Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there is nothing easier than the blame game. Just because we do not want to address economic issues in this country we want to get a scapegoat. Just because we want to bury our heads in the sand; not agreeing that we have been living beyond our means--- view
  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, yes, I owned, founded and headed the Kenya Finance Bank. I however, did not bring it down. It was brought down by people who know what they did. It was not by me. view
  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I admit. Let me tell the House; the truth is going to come out that we alleged--- view
