  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the only interest I have in the banking industry is that I am a customer in a number of these banks. There is nothing more. I am saying this; let us address the problems in our economy. Let us not get scapegoats to run away from our responsibility. Our responsibility is to take care of this country not to bring down individuals. Thank you. view
  • 23 Feb 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this Motion. We must agree that a lot of our problems in the recent past go back to the question of land. If we are going to be in a hurry in trying to sweep under the carpet our land problems, we are going to create even a bigger problem in future. So, it is important that we extend time, give the Committee time to discuss this matter exhaustively and bring the amendments that are going to be helpful to the National Land Bill. With those few remarks, I beg to support. view
