Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, the amendments are on page 3668 of the Order Paper. Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, why I am proposing this amendment is to align this particular Act to the Constitution because Article 50 of the Constitution makes it a right of every Kenyan citizen charged in a court of law to have a ... view
  • 1 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I really sympathize with the people of Nyeri County because of this kind of problem. However, because they belong to this country, we are willing to assist them but before we do that, the Assistant Minister has to clearly make this House and the country understand exactly what the main problem is. In his answer, I do not find him being serious in trying to sort out the problem of men in Nyeri County. If the problem that he attributes to husband battering in Nyeri County is the inability to satisfy sexual needs of their ... view
  • 1 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I think it will be out of order for the Assistant Minister to really mislead this House that all local brews have a negative effect to a man in terms of performance. Could he tell us which local brews are affecting the men? Where I come from, there is a brew, which is made out of millet and cassava, which has a lot of potency and really assist men. view
  • 21 Feb 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am really very uncomfortable with the manner which the Assistant Minister tries to react to matters that touch on security of Kenyans. This Parliament has given a lot of money to the National Security Intelligence Service (NSIS) and I am sure one of the duties of this department is to give information to the Government. I want to know from the Assistant Minister whether the NSIS in this country is giving them information so that before these attacks take place, the Government can move with speed to arrest such situations. view

  • 24 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: The matter in regard to Question No.2 by Private Notice by Mr. Imanyara. This is because, as far as I am aware, we do not have a county council in this country by the name “Meru North”. I am trying to assist so that the time of this House is not wasted. So, as we defer the Question, it should be directed either to the Ministry of Local Government or any other Ministry and also check the facts to clearly indicate which county council he is referring to. view
  • 27 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I came in a bit late, but I am sure going by the order of sequence of Questions in the Order Paper, I thought I was the person to ask the Question. view
