Whereas we want the young men and women trained at the NYS absorbed by the disciplined services, we must agree that there is a very big gap between disciplined forces training and what goes on at the NYS. It should be broadened to include other Government agencies like parastatals so that we can have as many as possible trained young men and women absorbed. In five years, NYS trains over 100,000 young men and women. Even if some of them were to be absorbed by the disciplined services, a big number would still be left out.
