Therefore, even as I support that we regulate new innovations in the telecommunications industry, I support that we make sure that we protect innovations and enterprises.

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I have been in the telecommunication industry for the last 15 years, and therefore, I do not need any other information from any Member before I finish my submission. I want us to be very cautious and careful whenever we are suggesting or coming up with new laws in this House that look at issues of telecommunication which is the leading sector in this country, so that we do not kill the innovation spirit. Just to bring to the attention of the House, we have the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) which is empowered ...

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support the mediated version of the Early Childhood Education Bill (Senate Bill No.26 of 2018) because first of all, as a young mother, I feel like finally we have breathed out because of the very many areas of discrimination that we have seen in our counties when it comes to the administration of ECD. When I was growing up, we never used to have an entry point to the EDC in Kiambu County. Our parents used to take us to the centres, and all we could do was to stretch out ...

When I speak about this, I would want to put it on record that it is so sad that some girls and boys do not know who they are at that level because they do not have facilities where they can be told to differentiate themselves when ...

I wanted to seek your guidance The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor.

on the matter that Hon. Millie Odhiambo brought on the Table of the House. She requested for time for us to debate the Care and Protection of Older Members of Society Bill (Senate Bill No.17 of 2018). The reason why I am seeking guidance is because I have a lot of interest in the geriatric matters, that is matters of the elderly. In 2019, I proposed a Bill called Geriatric 2019 which has lost direction along the way. It has been stalled between the Departmental Committee on Health and the Departmental Committee on Labour and Social Welfare twice. Each Committee ...

Hon. Speaker, my Bill went to the Departmental Committee on Health first. They disowned it. It was referred to the Departmental Committee on Labour and Social Welfare. They disowned it. It was taken back to the Departmental Committee on Health. I am still waiting for communication because they also disowned it. That is why I am saying my Bill is lost.
