• 12 Jun 2019 in National Assembly: I rise to support the Budget and Appropriations Committee Report on the proposed Budget Estimates for the coming financial year. I have gone through the Report and wish to state that I support these estimates for purposes of the furtherance of the Big Four Agenda, which is what our Government is now delving into. It seeks to ensure that we realise that agenda in the four sectors that have been set out. Most important is the infrastructure sector. Unfortunately, I have just been granted a charter for a university college in Tharaka; The Tharaka University College, a constituent college of Chuka University. I have gone through the budget and found that it has not been allocated any money for development.
