11 Jul 2013 in Senate:
On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. To me, that appeared like a Personal Statement. According to our Standing Orders, we cannot make any comments. I would like to make a request that, probably, towards the end of today’s sitting, we have a Motion of Adjournment so that hon. Senators get an opportunity to convey their condolences to the affected families.

9 Jul 2013 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise on a point of order to seek your clarification on two specific issues. On the first issue, I should have risen when my colleagues were rising on points of order during the division. But I fear that will be flouting the same Standing Order that I want to bring to your attention. Mr. Speaker, Sir, it has been a practice that when we go for Division, the Division Bell is rung, doors are locked and the Bar is drawn. For the first time we have this The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard ...

27 Jun 2013 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank you for the opportunity to make my remarks on this particular Motion. Let me, at the very beginning, state that I fully support this Motion. I want to thank my colleague, Sen. Murkomen for coming up with it. I also want to state that about two or three weeks ago, I filed a similar Motion and I was hoping that it will see the light of day. The only difference is that my Motion was directed to the department of education wanting the department to let development of The electronic version of the ...

19 Jun 2013 in Senate:
On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. You heard the Senator for Bungoma, my good brother, Sen. Wetangula, saying that Yu is owned by the Government. I just want to make that correction and even if he says it is Orange, the majority shareholding in Orange Company is not the Government. The Government has very minimal shareholding.
