Gideon Mung’aro, on Tuesday, 6th of April, 2010, stood on a point of order, seeking a Ministerial Statement on the Watamu incident that involved the killing of two people. In the statement, he wanted me, as the Minister, to clarify the circumstances under which eviction of some people took place from a plot they were residing in at Watamu at night. Gideon Mung’aro asked for a Ministerial Statement regarding the circumstances under which a plot in that area was actually invaded and as a result, the people who were staying there were evicted. He also sought more information on the circumstances leading to the two people being killed. view
