  • 4 Jun 2024 in National Assembly: We do not know where the boundaries of riparian lands are. They are six metres in certain areas and 60 metres in others. The people who are demolishing houses are going back to demolish further in areas that were initially marked as the boundaries. It seems somebody somewhere is revising those riparian lands and increasing those portions. This will lead to massive loss of property and many people will become homeless. We should halt those demolitions for a moment, until we have a bipartisan agreement and discussion within the multi-agencies that are concerned with this matter here in Nairobi City ... view
  • 2 May 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Chairlady. I echo the comments of the Leader of the Minority Party. It is worth noting that the old Panel will cease to exist. More importantly, we request anybody who would want to proceed to the civil societies to recognise the fact that those panelists have been given an opportunity to reapply for those jobs. jThey have not been fired and they have an opportunity to apply because there are more positions. Thank you. view

  • 17 Apr 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. This time when the doctors and interns are on strike, I would like the Cabinet Secretary to tell Kenyans directly, especially expectant women, where can they obtain services. This is an issue which all Members of Parliament are being contacted by their constituents because of the shortage of doctors in hospitals. What option do Kenyans have during this difficult time? view

  • 9 Apr 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise under Standing Order 1. Is it in order for the Leader of the Majority Party to compare a pupil who is not qualified to practice, who does not even appear in court, which is the opposite of intern doctors who actually prescribe medicine? They treat people out there. Is he in order to compare those two professions? I am a lawyer, and I understand what I went through as a pupil, but that is very different from intern doctors. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version ... view
