should be dissolved. However, none of them mentioned the fact that they have been given a fund for oversight and yet they receive salaries. The NG-CDF is being used to educate children, and build classrooms and police stations. It creates employment in our constituencies. I, therefore, want to support the budget team.

Deleting this fund should be among the austerity measures that this House should take. There are more measures we want the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) to institute. We should ensure that all Members of Parliament are treated equally. None should earn more than the other.

I thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I rise to reject the Finance Bill 2024. From the onset, I just want to bring to your attention that Gen Z has been encouraging us to steal the Bill and run out with it. We hope that the Speaker will communicate that the process does not work that way. Hon. Temporary Speaker, the Finance Bill 2024 has a lot of grievances, whether the motor vehicle or bread tax. Exempting VAT from the transfer of businesses makes me wonder; whose business is this that wants to be acquired? There are also too many other ...

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Chairlady. I thank and congratulate the Budget and Appropriations Committee on this specific Vote, especially on probation and after-care. If we can, let us ensure the relevant Departmental Committee ensures that these funds are used to rehabilitate those who have been released from prison because most of them just end up falling back into the same crimes. These funds can really change the lives of ex-prisoners if they are utilised well. I support this specific Vote.

Just last week, I opened a twin laboratory in that school. I want to thank the Chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee for the money that he has appropriated to the school which is being affected by electricity. We need to relocate some of the power lines. I welcome them to see where we get funds so that we can do the work in their school.
