  • 11 May 2022 in Senate: In Islam, there is no concept of Mother’s Day, but the Quran teaches that children should give priority to loving their mothers over their fathers. Mother’s Day is equally celebrated in Hindu Religion, especially in Nepal where mothers are honoured with special foods. As we mark this day, I would like to emphasize that mothers play an integral part in our lives. A mother’s love throughout the lifespan remains unconditional and she stands by our side like a strong pillar. Mothers can raise families even if they are alone and make any house beautiful and loving with their presence. I ... view
  • 10 May 2022 in Senate: Madam Deputy Speaker, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to support this Bill. This Bill is in itself self-sustaining. It is giving possible ways of ensuring that there is no environmental or water pollution. Managing waste will create an efficient way of protecting our environment. It will also ensure we get something from the recycled waste. When waste is managed, it can be recycled to something useful. • 5 May 2022 in Senate: We engaged all the relevant stakeholders that matter in education. Key stakeholders such as the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the Ministry of Education and the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) appeared before us. As education specialists, we wanted to get their thoughts. From the presentation made by the TSC, it was clear that when it comes to introduction of chess, they do not play a role because they have a salient role in ensuring that teachers who teach our children are registered. So, they play a major role in registering teachers. It was quite clear that the TSC has ... view
