Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. I would like to thank the hon. Members who have contributed to this Motion. I also want to thank all hon. 1 Nov 2006 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to say something on this matter. The issue of landlessness is one which no attempt has been made to resolve it by the previous Governments and the current Government. The present Government has given an indication in the National Land Policy Paper which was discussed a few months ago. If that paper was to come here as a Sessional Paper, then the House passed it without reservation and it immediately goes into the process required to legalize it, that will, perhaps, bring us close to the end of ...

18 Oct 2006 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I think this matter is a bit serious because it infringing our Standing Orders. It is important for the Chair to acknowledge that something went wrong somewhere, because Government officials were here on time. I think the mismanagement of time came from the Clerk-at-the Table. It will, therefore be fair for you to acknowledge that something went wrong somewhere.

17 Oct 2006 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this chance to say a October 17, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 2951 few words on this Vote. But I have an issue to raise with the planners of the Ministry of Health. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it has become a tradition that when one becomes a Minister, he and other planners in that particular Ministry continue to do what used to be done many years ago. The ...

The time has come for us to clear our name and think about our people. We do not need to be communists to think about our people. We can be capitalists and still address issues affecting our people. With those remarks, I beg to support.

3 Aug 2006 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this August 3, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 2615 opportunity. I support the adjournment of this House to a day other than the next normal sitting day. This Government cannot be compared with any other Government since Independence when it comes to service delivery. That is a fact that every hon. Member here agrees with. We have had the facilitation to deliver to our respective constituencies as Members of Parliament. However, it is important for this Government to know that it is nothing but a tool for maintaining public security. If the ...

21 Jun 2006 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise also to say some few words on this Motion. First of all, I want to thank the Minister for Finance for his Speech. I believe he has the future of this country at heart. Most of the things he has proposed are very good for this country. However, what the Minister did not actually say in his Speech is how much money has been taken out of this country through corruption. In the last three years, we were told about this money by the former Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs. He said ...
