28 Dec 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, first of all, I thank you for your wisdom, especially by giving us some time to think about this matter. It is a very emotive matter as far as the public is concerned. You have guided this House and we can speak freely. I think the citizens went to churches and prayed hard to make sure that when the Senate sits there will be a solution of some kind. We have not gotten the solution, but we have referred the matter to a Committee of this House, which will help us to deliver. This debate has given ...

29 Nov 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, what I am saying here is that we have been talking about this matter for a long time. It is now two years and nothing has happened. We have been talking about this matter for a long time. Two years down the line, nothing has happened. When you talk about something and nothing happens, what do you do? 29 Nov 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I was about to withdraw my generosity because he went beyond the limit. I want to appeal to the Senate Majority Leader and the Senate Minority Leader to consult each other when it comes to nominating Members to serve in committees. We are not here to promote people. Even if we were to stay here for many years, there are people who can never improve.

23 Nov 2016 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I have looked at the Report which the hon. Member has presented to this House and it is encouraging, and so are the last remarks by the Member of the Committee who has spoken before me. Everyone is aware that we need roads in various places. The people who did projections did not envisage population growth. The roads that were tarmarcked by the Europeans who owned coffee estates are now dilapidated. At that time, the elites were settled at the central and traditional districts like Nyeri, Murang’a, Embu and Kiambu. All these areas are ...

16 Nov 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, thank you for allowing me to contribute to this Bill. Looking at the memorandum and objects of reason, it explains the purpose for this Bill, I find as if we are trying to assist people, but we are on the periphery. We were elected by the people of this country to deliver. The biggest problem here like my friend, Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale, was talking about – he talks so well and all Senators here talk so well as if they are talking to people who do not belong to this country – is that there is ...
