Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this one minute to raise my concern. Ever since we came on board the 12th Parliament, the introduction of Questions in this Parliament has, in my own thinking, not worked successfully. It has not progressed the country. It beats logic and makes no sense. We are asking Questions to ourselves as parliamentarians here because the CSs are outside this Parliament. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. This thing has been going on for several months and years but, never in a single day has this honourable House sat together and decided the way forward for this country. We are lacking direction. We are supposed to provide direction as honourable Members. Since the day we lost the Opposition in this country, raia decided to fight for their rights. The strike was for nurses. We saw strikes and we are seeing strike for workers. We do not know whether the next strike will be by parliamentarians. We are lacking direction. We need ...

The NG-CDF success stories have been ignored in the storm of negativity in terms of cases of mismanagement and corruption by its administrators. The reality is on the ground where Wanjiku is. There are success stories and the impact that we have through the NG-CDF ever since it was enacted in 2003. It is the only kitty that is very transparent. It is people driven in terms of projects that are executed on the ground. It is one of the kitties that Parliament in Kenya has ever enacted that is commendable. It has helped a lot given that it aims ...

I have more than 207 primary schools in Chepalungu Constituency and 173 of them are registered. But 37 are not. My constituency is leading in the Republic of Kenya in terms of the number of schools. When the former Governor of Bomet County was a Member of Parliament, he prioritised education. He stood firmly on the principle that every one kilometre must have a primary school. That is why day schools and secondary schools are more than 83 in Chepalungu Constituency. Every constituency has the same allocation from this national cake. It becomes a big challenge to allocate development in ...

at pregnant mothers suffering. They should be given ease of boarding and alighting from vehicles. It is not their joy or wish to be in the state they are. When they have a condition of any nature that prevents their ease of transport, it becomes a big challenge. I support the Member for bringing this Motion to the Floor of the House. It touches the livelihood of every Kenyan. If you are not affected, then by extension, you should have the heart of extending the love and care of being a brother’s keeper to provide what they require. The number ...
