  • 15 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Administration and National Security:- (a) whether he is aware that many robberies have occurred in Tala and Kangundo towns, leading to loss of lives and property; (b) what steps he is taking to beef up security in the towns and their environs; and, 3690 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES November 15, 2006 (c) when Tala Police Post will be up-graded to a police station and supplied with a vehicle to enhance crime prevention. view
  • 15 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Yes, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 8 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Energy when he will supply electricity to Katangini Market in Kalanduni Location, Matungulu Division, given that power lines pass over the market. view
  • 8 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I must thank the Celtel Company because it installed the transformer after I had asked the Ministry this Question. Given the fact that the people living around that market have also a right to be supplied with electricity by this Government, could he allocate some money to supply power to the market, as I ask them to also contribute, as he has directed? view
  • 8 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Minister tell this House which projects are benefiting from the Rural Electrification Programme in Kangundo Constituency, if there are any? view
  • 1 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Roads and Public Works:- (a) whether he is aware that only 17.1 kilometres of earth road separate the tarmacked road from Machakos to Kangundo; and, (b) when this part of the road will be tarmacked. view
  • 1 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the last time I asked a Question about this road was in the year 2004. The Minister, however, gave me the same answer. Kangundo is older than Nairobi. The road network in Kangundo is, therefore, something the Government should look into. Why is it that the Government is tarmacking other roads in areas that do not produce any cash crops? Kangundo grows cash crops like coffee. why can the Government not prioritise the construction of roads in this area? view
  • 1 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we are complaining because there is no road network in Kangundo, old as the area is. During this rainy season, motorists will find it difficult to travel to Machakos, and to other parts of the country from Kangundo. If the Assistant Minister is not going to tarmack this part of the road, why can he not murram it for the people of Kangundo to transport their goods? view
  • 18 Oct 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Energy:- (a) whether he was aware that more than Kshs10,000,000 was paid to the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) Limited by the Kangundo Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Committee to supply electricity to several projects in the 2004/2005 financial year; and, (b) when the electricity will be supplied to those projects. view
  • 18 Oct 2006 in National Assembly: Where is the Assistant Minister? view
