  • 10 Sep 2013 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I stand here to support the Motion because of what is on the ground. We have heard the legal arguments on this issue. But what is on the ground are the facts. The facts are that the two communities which bear the greatest burden of the clashes were the Kikuyus and the Kalenjins. We have not chosen, as a community, to pursue retribution. We have chosen restorative justice that stresses reconciliation and peaceful co-existence. The ICC will have retributive justice. That will not help the cause of peace. We need building blocks to a peaceful Kenya and ... view
  • 15 May 2013 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, I thank you for giving me this opportunity to support this Motion by our colleague, Sen. Musila. In the case of the existing ones, they should be upgraded so that they have co-generation of power and expand their ethanol. Mr. Speaker, Sir, you know that the sugar industry employs six million people in the western ... view

  • 4 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, last week during the debate on the 15th PIC Report, I was mentioned adversely without a Substantive Motion being brought to the Floor of the House. I urge that the remarks which were made be expunged from the HANSARD records since there was no merit to them. view
  • 2 Aug 2007 in National Assembly: The "Advisory Board" has been removed! This Bill actually pertains to the Council and not the Advisory Board. Thank you. view
  • 2 Aug 2007 in National Assembly: There is another Bill on the tail of this Bill. So, this one absolutely deals with the Council and not the media per se . The next Bill which is coming, which is another "deadly" one--- All right? That is the one that I am worried about. view
