Agriculture contributes 25 per cent of the GDP yet it is the least funded of all the factors of production. Therefore, while we are accepting that we have a problem and that we need to do ‘X.’ However, we have to see what will be sustainable going into the future. • 25 Sep 2019 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I too send my condolences to the families and friends who lost their beloved ones. This is totally unacceptable. It is exactly as what happened in Vihiga, which I also say pole to Sen. Khaniri and his people. It is despicable and unacceptable that this could happen in this day and age. One would ask themselves what happened to the Hippocratic Oath when a person who is suffering goes to hospital and they are denied treatment. That is diabolical. • 25 Sep 2019 in Senate: I am also unhappy about what happened in some school in Nairobi. It is important that we take an audit of all schools to make sure that something like that does not occur again. I hope that the committee in charge of this will take the job extremely seriously, as they usually do, to get to the bottom of the matter. view

• 24 Jul 2019 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I will be very brief. I rise to support this Statement by Sen. (Dr.) Milgo. I would like to put two issues across. There are conservancies which exist right now; these are Lewa Conservancy, Borana Conservancy and Solio Conservancy. They are doing a splendid job of conserving the wildlife which is a heritage to us and for the future generations. view
