  • 21 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to support the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill. In 2010, Kenya enacted the Constitution with the two-thirds gender rule enshrined. Time has come for us to actualise the vision of the Constitution. I am told by a lady colleague that they are 91 ladies in Parliament including the CWRs. If you take 30 per cent of the total number of Members, we only need 140 female Members. Therefore, topping up is not a tall order. I love women. view

  • 21 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: If you want anything sweet, look for it in women and you will find it there. That includes my colleague here. I have been feeling warm since I sat here. Therefore, that is why I have risen to support the Bill. view
  • 21 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: I am describing why I support the Bill. I love the party leader of the Wiper Democratic Movement, the party that brought me here. I also love my President, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta. Since the two have spoken and the National Super Alliance (NASA) principals have all spoken in support of this Bill, who am I to say no? view
  • 21 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: So, I rise with all my body, as Babu Owino has said, and all my organs to support the Bill. Women are very important in society and it has been said many times. They carry us for nine months, give birth to us, sometimes with a lot of difficulties and pain, breast feed us and take care of our homes. They even cook for us. Some of these ladies here cook for their husbands. Therefore, these are very important people and we must support them. view

  • 15 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support the Petition by the Member for Lang’ata on Seefar Apartments. As an authority in the building industry, any building constructed within the city must be approved and from what I have heard, all the approvals were got. What I know from my practice is that when a building is under construction within the city, there are regular inspections by the city authorities. So, when this building was under construction, there were people visiting it and they knew very well it was on riparian land. I do not support the idea that buildings ... view
  • 18 Oct 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this Report by the NG-CDF Committee. First, I want to congratulate this Committee for doing a good job and producing a very voluminous Report with good content. This Committee has beaten all others hands down including PIC from which I was removed. I was removed as if I am the one who prepares reports. I want to challenge them to bring a report. I will be the first one to shoot it down. I was taken to a very good committee which oversees all legislation from all Government departments. So, ... view
