  • 5 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. Really, it is a sad evening because the Committee took a lot of time to come up with this amendment that the Chair has just unilaterally withdrawn. I would like to move a further amendment to the amendment that was moved by the Chair of the Committee which is that:- “In consideration---- view
  • 5 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I will just add that it is really very important to just be honest. The Chair is on HANSARD reading the further amendment. In fact, after reading that further amendment, hon. Millie withdrew her amendment. The numbers are here, we can either defeat or pass amendments, but we should not be dishonest on the HANSARD. • 4 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. Is this the time when we should speak about the Bill, generally? view
  • 4 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, what this House will do by passing the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Bill with the amendments will radically improve social security in this country. We are going to see people making enhanced contribution to the NSSF, and the enhanced benefits coming back to them. When people retire, they will retire to much better lives. We are going to see an NSSF that is far much strengthened. We look forward to seeing much more accountability at the view
