  • 24 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would just like the Assistant Minister to clarify, from the Bills that he has indicated, I do not see any of the Bills that are in the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution, especially the ones that have one year to 19 months time frame. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is because we do not want to fall into the trap which we fell into, which is to rush things when there is time. When does he intend to bring those Bills so that we can start working on them before the House goes ... view

  • 13 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. I am willing to be patient only if the Minister can tell me how long I should be patient. Could I be patient for two weeks or for one year? I think I am willing to be patient for two weeks. view
  • 3 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am pleased to remind the Assistant Minister that he promised me that we would have electricity in two weeks' time. I informed the locals that the Ministry would upgrade the health centre to a sub-district health centre and electricity would be connected. I have waited in vain. Why should the Assistant Minister keep on telling me to wait, until Parliament is about to be dissolved? When will electricity be connected to this health centre? view
  • 11 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, a similar thing is happening in my place where I have a health centre called Othoro. When I visited the KPLC's offices, they told me that they were waiting for electricity poles from South Africa. The poles had already been brought and wiring had been done. A transformer seemed to be there also because I saw something there. I do not know if it was a transformer. Last financial year, we were promised that this project would commence. When, really, will this project commence? When will it be implemented? We have waited for too long! view
  • 11 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, we have waited for so long. When will this waiting come to an end? view
  • 29 Aug 2007 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I support this Motion, which was brought by my friend, Prof. Olweny, from Muhoroni. I too come from a sugar- cane growing area; that is Awendo. The production is so heavy. I think this should not be political. We do not need to have what we call politics in this. We should keep out politics from this development. That is because we are endowed with God's gift. Our sugar-cane farms produce a lot of sugar. I say that because I always observe the importation of sugar from outside. Yet, we have ... view
  • 5 Jul 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I asked that question about seeking for the money. For how long is he going to wait to receive the money from the Treasury? That is mere cheating! view
