  • 16 Dec 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Forest Conservation and Management Bill. As we debate this Bill, it is good to note that a few weeks ago, there was a conference which took place at Safari Park, where quite a number of members of parliament from this Continent attended. The main issues they were discussing were to do with climate change. Two weeks ago, over 150 leaders of the world, especially a number of heads of state including our President, were in Paris, France, to attend a United Nations (UN) Summit to save ... view
  • 16 Dec 2015 in National Assembly: and La Nina . When it comes to adaptation to these climatic changes, those who conserve the environment and those who destroy it will all feel its effects. Therefore, we should all be ready and willing to conserve this environment. I come from Elgeyo Marakwet County. When it comes to environmental conservation, I believe we are among the leading counties in this country. Our forest cover is over 20 per cent. These professionals have high qualifications. Some have Masters Degree while others have done courses in different fields. They are very patriotic Kenyans. Some have taken a pay cut from their well-paying careers to serve in the Government. ... view

Speaker, Mr Itemere Sammy has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree and he proved that as much as he is an expert in banking, he has learnt a lot and he will transform and streamline the broadcasting and telecommunications sector. Mr. Kyalo has a First Class degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree of Science in Electrical Engineering. He has been an expert in this sector for over 24 years. We believe that he is the right person to address the challenges that we are facing at the Konza City. ... view
