  • 18 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to thank the Assistant Minister for trying to answer this Question. He has said that so far 60 per cent of the construction is done. He is assuring us that within another two weeks, the 40 per cent will be done. Could he inform the House whether he is sure that the remaining 40 per cent will be completed in the next weeks? view

  • 17 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to ask the Assistant Minister if this is only affecting customers using Safaricom or whether it is also affecting customers using Airtel, Yu and other service providers. Is it only unique to Safaricom? view

(b) What is the cause of the current shortage of the commodity? (c) What measures has the Ministry put in place to cushion consumers from the escalating prices of the commodity? view
  • 17 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has given so many reasons why the price of sugar has gone up; one being the closure of some sugar factories for maintenance, including Mumias Sugar Company. I am aware that in the next two months, more sugar factories will be closing down for maintenance for another two months. Does it mean that the price of sugar will still go up? view
  • 17 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister give us the consumption rate in terms of tonnage per year? How much of it do we produce and what is the shortfall? view
  • 10 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Agriculture the following Question by Private Notice. • 10 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, indeed, the Assistant Minister has consulted me. I do agree, although he should bear in mind that the commodity is being used by majority of Kenyans. The issue of pricing should be addressed as soon as possible. So, I agree that he can answer the Question next week. view
