11 May 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, this issue was addressed last time by the Minister. It was addressed clearly that we are aware that actually some sewage is flowing into the River Ruiru. We, as Government, have agreed that we want to take immediate steps. One of the steps we have taken is to make sure that those areas, where the sewage is flowing into the river is stopped immediately. We have taken people to court for that. We are also using chemicals to treat water that is being taken in Ruiru.
