  • 17 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chair. I am also concerned about areas where we have doctors. Medical doctors are professionals and they take an oath to do the right thing. However, the respected Member, Hon. Millie, has just said that where she comes from, they have a shortage of doctors. That is the reason we are concerned with The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 17 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: this argument. We can get them professionally and equip them. The purpose of this Bill is to equip professionals in this area. I am concerned and I agree with Hon. Wamalwa. Thank you. view
  • 17 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Chairlady. I agree with Hon. Shamalla. When does life begin? Life begins when the two merge. If we know that life has already begun, as Christians, we will be committing a sin by that very destruction. I do not agree with Hon. Sankok on matters of a serial killer. We do not destroy offsprings because of their fathers or mothers. We do this to preserve life. This is why we need more research before the two are merged. Meiosis and mitosis come here only if you have already researched. If we allow that, we shall have ... view
  • 17 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: I am in support of the amendment. view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I also seriously agree with this because sometimes we tax some of these charitable organisations which intend to raise a class upward and balance those who cannot manage to earn a living. So, I support this. view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this time to contribute to this very important Bill. From the onset, I stand to oppose the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.1 of 2020). I oppose with serious reasons. First, you cannot pretend to want to build a house by knocking off its pillars. The strength of the house is how many pillars you increase every day. We could not have reached the gains that we have attained in Kenya without the National Gender and Equality Commission, yet want to bring it down to ... view
  • 10 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I want to comment on the Petition on United Insurance Company Limited. It is not good to declare a price of an axe on an insurance that holds money for its shareholders. The Kenya Reinsurance Corporation (Kenya Re) first owes this insurance some money. It is very bad to wind up. Maybe, it was for its own interest. I support the Petition. Thank you. view
  • 19 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: I thank you, Hon. Speaker. I would like to comment on the first Petition. It is a sad experience when see the prices of livestock feeds skyrocket and yet this is exactly what makes food. When you tax feeds which produce food, this will bring us so many issues. It is pathetic that when we are bringing in animal feeds raw materials from another country to come and manufacture ours here and you tax them so highly, that is increasing the prices of those feeds here. It is about the tax regime. As much as our Government wants to get ... view
  • 7 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. The National Prayer Day is very important. It defines our nation. It will show this country as a praying nation. In fact, if this is made, it will be the first one in the south of the Sahara and North of Limpopo. We need this prayer day very much. The only thing that we shall ask the Committee to do is to draw it clearly to see if it is possible to have individual churches making it at their churches or having a common unit or empirical formula at every sub-county level as we do it ... view
  • 6 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. This trend should be capped and controlled. If we allow this back-and-forth movement and disturbance to very good companies that have won contracts and performed, then we are going to discourage investors in this country. I believe that this trend has forced some banks to auction very good companies that have done business with the Government. I support this Petition because it is going to bring sanity not only in the national Government but even in some county governments that have the same problems. Therefore, this Petition is quite in order before us. view
