He is, however, misleading the House that the only thing we can do is have them tried by the British on our land. Temporary Deputy Speaker, while it is true that under the past MOU there were arrangements with the British Government and private ranchers, this is not the case under this Defence Cooperation Agreement. It is important that Members read the Report to understand what is contained therein because the arrangements that were there between private ranchers have been nullified. The only arrangements are with the Government of Kenya on their training grounds to share facilities and train together. That is the upshot of this agreement. It is not paying settler farmers money directly from the British Government. view
