  • 25 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I thank you and all the hon. Members who have risen to support the Motion. I wish to thank the erstwhile Chairman of the Defence and Foreign Relations Committee, my compatriot, hon. Keynan, for seconding the Motion. These three positions are critical to the diplomatic defensive and economic agenda of this country. • 6 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I rise to support the Motion. I wish to thank the Chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee for the wonderful job he did and coming up with sound recommendations. There are no incidents where communities rise up against others and hack them to death, yet it is not necessarily about the faith that these people espouse. It is about the culture and the ethic that is within the people. This culture and ethic is what I wish to speak on and challenge our Government and the security forces on how we can redirect, retool and reengineer the social thinking of our population. I struggled to find an ... view
  • 16 May 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, the clarification is this: We want to know from the Government how we can retool and reengineer our societies without necessarily buying more bullets, guns and vehicles. We need to think outside the box because security is not only about resources. view
  • 16 May 2013 in National Assembly: On a point of order, hon. Deputy Speaker. Is the hon. Member, and the entire CORD fraternity, in order to keep on referring to “tyranny of numbers” when the Constitution of Kenya refers to this country as a democratic Republic? The view
  • 25 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I rise to support the Motion and thank the Chairperson and Members of the Committee on Procedure and House Rules. I note with disappointment sections of the Press reporting that Members of this House wish to expand membership of committees in order to have avenues to further remunerations. This cannot be further from the truth. view
