• 9 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: Finally, I wish to speak on the Agreement for the establishment of the East African Standby Force which is an important element of what we are ratifying here today. The Agreement was signed on 24th June 2014 by Kenya and nine other East African countries. It replaces the MOU which established the East African Standby Brigade. The East African Standby Force (EASF) attained full operational capability in December, 2014. Rwanda has ratified the EASF Agreement and Kenya validated its forces in September, 2014.
