• 30 Sep 2015 in National Assembly: The best way forward, and I would advise the engineering fraternity, is that once this Bill is in place, they should start a process of putting in place a council that will cover each technician under their own regulatory premises. That is what we are trying to do in the medical field and it has been tried in other countries. It works better than having one huge Bill that puts all the cadres in one Act. view

May I also start by congratulating our athletes for the work they are doing out there and for the unity they bring to us. • 27 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: I was also happy with the Excise Duty Bill in which we targeted agro-products like juice for tax relief. The agro industry is going to be the basis of our growth, particularly for the youth. It is also good to remove tax on boda bodas. As Hon. Midiwo said, we should make those motorbikes here. We should transform the East African Community (EAC) into a political union. It is long overdue. We will have time to discuss that later. Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. view

Adan Keynan for bringing this Bill to the House. The work that Members of Parliament do really needs freedom of speech and privileges. At the same time, it confers upon Members of Parliament, great responsibility. With freedom of access to information, we have the media participating in all our activities.
