  • 13 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: sugar and evade taxes and then bring it here so that it is cheaper than the locally manufactured sugar. That way, you make more money. If that is the scenario then this House, more so my colleagues who come from the sugarcane-growing zones, should know who then brings the sugar industry down. It must be somebody who is protected by authority to import sugar and evade paying taxes. Therefore, the sugar would land here cheaply and sell fast because it is slightly better done than ours. These are the people who are, in fact, killing the sugar industry. We want ... view

  • 13 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I would like to remind my good friend whom I would not want to interrupt, Hon. Raymond Moi, that he is in the Kenya African National Union (KANU) and KANU is partnering with the Jubilee Party. So, the best place to report is, maybe, to complain to the Jubilee Party hierarchy that there is a lot of corruption between Sachangwan and--- The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. First, let me take this golden opportunity on behalf of myself and on behalf of the great people of Muhoroni Constituency, to extend our deepest sympathies to the family, constituents, Wiper and NASA fraternity, for the loss of the meticulous late Francis Nyenze. • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: Parliament and he was our Minority Leader. He was very humble, straightforward, straight kicking and stickler to the rules. We will miss his guidance and his company. I have looked at the Bill, but I want to support by saying that this Bill could not have come at a more opportune moment than now. We are living in a world where land is getting smaller and the population is getting bigger. We will need a lot of regulations to maximise the use of the little land that is remaining so that those who can buy land can get the opportunity ... view
  • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: When the Bill becomes law, I hope there will be opportunity for home hunters. People who want to involve themselves in real estate can now get true value for their money. They can make use of the maximum or minimum land for the better of their aspirations. Otherwise, I support. It is coming at the right time. Thank you. view
  • 15 Jun 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I remember with nostalgia that four-and-a-half years ago we first met in this House. I had an opportunity to meet good friends, people I did not know, but who I came to like in my life. They include the garrulous outgoing Member for Garissa Town, Hon. Bare Duale, my good friend the MP for Kikuyu, who I believe will be my colleague in the 12th Parliament, and the MP for Emurua Dikirr among many others. view

  • 15 Jun 2017 in National Assembly: I take this opportunity to thank the Muhoroni electorate who elected me on a different party with a big majority even though I was not in the ‘normal’ Luoland party. I believe in the four years I have been representing their interests in this House, I have made a mark and I must inform this House that this mark can only be interpreted this way: you cannot beat me in election. So, some people have resulted to taking shortcuts by going to court to retrieve the seat from me, but the public has refused. The public is saying that it ... view
  • 15 Jun 2017 in National Assembly: So, it was nice meeting you all and it will be pleasure meeting you and doing business with you in the 12th Parliament. I wish all of you well. My wish is that God favours you if you can be elected. Hon. Duale, if you are not elected, I have talked to baba . In the next Government, we will place you in the Office of the President. You may be the Government Spokesman. So, now when you go out to campaign, please, tone down on those vitriolic outbursts because you never know about tomorrow. I wish everybody well. We ... view
