The over- voltage is the cause of the breakdowns; until people stop stealing the ground wire, there will always be power cut-offs, or power fluctuations going to over 300 volts at any one time. Until this is arrested, they will never have motors working properly. view

Whereas Kisumu Town West, Nyakach, Kano and other areas are affected by water hyacinth, Karachuonyo is even worse. Karachuonyo is affected by algae to the extent that you cannot even get water until you go more than one kilometre into the lake.
