  • 26 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I support this Motion for the approval of the two nominees. I know Hon. Mutahi Kagwe. I have worked with him in this House in the Ninth Parliament. He was a Minister and I have no doubt… view
  • 26 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, the consultations are high. view
  • 26 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: I have no doubt that Hon. Mutahi Kagwe is up to the task. As has been said, he served as a Senator and now he has been nominated to serve in a Ministry in which most of the functions are devolved. He has the experience and that coupled with his ability, I am sure he is going to resolve those issues. I have also seen the way he responded to questions put by the Committee on issues of Universal Health Care (UHC), the high cost of health care, lack of medicine in our health institutions, matters National Hospital Insurance Fund ... view

  • 26 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: and investigative institutions that clear nominees. They need to go further rather than use standard certificates stating they have no active investigation against the nominee. Hon. Speaker, with those few remarks, I beg to support. view
  • 10 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. On my own behalf and on behalf of the good people of Kajiado South, let me send my condolences to the family of Mzee Moi. view
  • 10 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: A lot has been said about him. He recognised minorities. Minorities served in all departments of his Government. As he allowed multipartyism, he warned us against forming tribal or regional parties or playing regional politics. As others have said, he loved peace not just locally but also regionally. He mediated on peace efforts in Sudan, Somalia, Uganda and Ethiopia. He loved the unity of this country. Above all, he loved the education of the girl-child. In the 47 counties, there are Moi Schools. view
  • 10 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: May his soul rest in eternal peace. view
  • 10 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. On behalf of the people of Kajiado East and the former students of Moi High School Kabarak, since I was a student there, I condole with the family of the late Hon. Daniel Toroitich arap Moi. We remember His Excellency because of the Nyayo milk and peace rally calls. He nurtured the spirit of leadership in me when I was a student at Moi High School, Kabarak. I condole with the family and all Kenyans. view
