  • 31 Mar 2022 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I thank you for giving me the opportunity, and I regret taking you back. As you were reading the ruling, I was pricked to say something; and that is by applauding you for such a very important ruling that you have come up with. We had found ourselves in a ditch going by the Question raised by Hon. Aden Duale, but I thank you for wiggling out. It had the potential to create a gridlock for the entire country. Hon. Speaker, one thing that I appreciate is your recognition of Article 159 of the Constitution that, Justice shall ... view
  • 30 Mar 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I am in support of this because we have seen situations where we have even numbers and during voting, there has been a gridlock. So, when it is odd numbers as it is being proposed by the Chairlady, it helps to settle any other impasses that may emanate from a voting pattern. view

  • 5 Jan 2022 in National Assembly: I am saying that there will be convergence at the Office of the President and his Deputy. If we do not have such controls where only members aligned to that coalition vote for that leader, then there is the danger of intrusion by other parties in order to mess up an electoral process of a coalition. This Bill is very critical and very important for us to avoid any betrayal by intruders from other quarters. Thank you. view
  • 29 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: I thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I am perturbed by what is advanced by my brother Hon. Sankok. There is no better register than the manual inscription of names as we vote. Unless there is anything sinister that he is holding and he does not want to reveal to us, what we are doing at the moment is the best roll call ever. I thank you. view

  • 1 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, very much Hon Speaker. I also reckon the inevitable natural death of this Question. But I can assure you because I am advantaged by the dictates of time on this, I will resurrect it. Additionally, I also recognise that we have some digital challenges with our Information and Communications Technology (ICT), but I do not think this compromises the Hansard, and attendance bonga points.
