25 Nov 2014 in National Assembly:
Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to mourn my eight constituents and the other 20 Kenyans who were killed in Mandera. This is not a forum for blame games against Kimaiyo or ole Lenku. Why can we not blame ourselves as leaders? We have not given the Police Department adequate funding. The terms and conditions of service of police officers are worse than those of the

we employ in our homes. Why can we not provide solutions? The solutions I provide are these: First, when we get back the Budget, we must give more funds to the Department of Police. Two, the communities living where we have these problems must also participate in giving solutions and not castigating the Government agencies. I would like to see the day when leaders in Mombasa, Mandera or Mpeketoni will sit down and give us solutions to those problems instead of castigating the Government. Finally, hon. 19 Nov 2014 in National Assembly:
Hon. Speaker: Your time is up!

Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to contribute to this Motion. We are appointing Dr. Nzomo not because of where she comes from and not because she was married to a Kamba or because she was given birth to by Merus---

19 Tuesday 18th November, 2014 Commission Secretary, who is also an educationist, I am sure teachers will be well taken care of as long as this House supports the budget proposals made by the TSC. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Dr. Nzomo has worked for a long time in the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). In fact, she would have been the first TSC Secretary some 15 years ago, but she was being overlooked and other people appointed instead. Now we give this thing as a gift for her work well done for this country. Nobody should question her capability. I should ...

28 Aug 2014 in National Assembly:
Two, we are representatives of the people. To represent our people properly here, we need to get back to them, join them, rub shoulders with them and let them tell us their issues, so that when we come back, we can articulate those issues. Three, recently, we launched outreach programmes. I believe, under your guidance, we will facilitate the Members of Parliament to visit the country. I would like to know how Mandera looks like. I know hon. Midiwo would like to know how Lunga Lunga looks like. Let us now organise programmes where we mingle. In Kitutu Chache, for ...
