5 Jun 2013 in National Assembly:
Hon. Speaker, Sir, I want to start by supporting this Motion. This is the first time that we are seeing the fruits of the new Constitution. We are in an era where we are vetting Cabinet appointments. We have appointees coming to the public and before the Committee on Appointments to say how much they own. Mr. ole Lenku has said what he is worth in terms of his wealth and hon. Kazungu has talked about the challenges that he had as he grew up and went through the school system. This is what the Constitution expected and it shows ...

5 Jun 2013 in National Assembly:
Hon. Speaker, Sir, hon. Angwenyi is a little rusty. He needs to check on the procedure of a Motion like this. As I finish, we have challenges, as I said, in the security docket. Officers do not have vehicles.

5 Jun 2013 in National Assembly:

Hon. Deputy Speaker, I hope now that we have passed this Bill, each one of us will consider it their duty to defend devolution in all ways. We have heard sentiments being made here by Members about how to create wealth within the counties and not the counties to expect the national revenue to just flow into them. We hope that as Members of Parliament and custodians of the Constitution, we shall ensure that devolution is achieved to the letter. Thank you.

25 Apr 2013 in National Assembly:
Hon. Speaker, Sir, I want to associate myself with hon. Members who have spoken before on this Motion and congratulate the Committee for coming up with these proposals. Obviously, we are now going to be more in Committees. Being more in numbers affords us an opportunity to be matched properly in our professional abilities and competencies. This will also play into space for committee meetings. Hon. Speaker, Sir, given the fact that you are still doing some renovations in Parliament, we expect Members to have a place where they can work, given the enormity of work that is now bestowed ...

17 Apr 2013 in National Assembly:
Hon. Deputy Speaker, I want to use this opportunity to thank the people of Bomachoge Borabu for electing me as their Member of the National Assembly. I want to thank them profusely for having elected me in 2002, 2007 and having confidence to re-elect me now in 2013. I want to use the same opportunity to thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker, for having been elected Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. Now to address myself to the Motion, I would like to thank the President for giving us the way forward for the next five years. He told us what ...
