Initially, we thought that we were dealing with two different individuals because the names we had were Ms. Lilian Mbogo and Ms. Lilian Mbogo Omollo. The lady was able to produce the Omollo physically to prove that she is married to him. As my Vice-Chair said, she is really the face of this nation. view

We know very well that the current Government performance is below par in terms of productivity and efficiency. In the Government, we have serious cases of resource wastages and issues to do with empowerment. Therefore, the lady is coming in at a very appropriate time. She was able to prove that she will deal with these issues. We need professionals who will reinvent Government, so that its performance can improve. view

People succeed through effective managers. So, we expect to get a lot from this lady in terms of management. She was able to demonstrate that she is suitable for the job for which she has been nominated in terms of qualifications, experience and the necessary people handling skills required in working with others in order to turn around Government service delivery. view

We have looked at the appointees credentials and they meet suitability requirements. Looking at their databases in terms of their conceptual competencies, technical skills and human relation skills, they meet the requirements. The appointees do not have any integrity issues. This list is a combination that has been well researched. We hope they will set standards, control and bring order and sanity in this sector which is in disarray.   • 17 Dec 2015 in National Assembly: If you look at the entire appointees, none really comes from Uriri and even by extension from Migori County. I am saying that this is a particular example where the reflection shows clearly that the face of the nation is reflected there. view

That is what I am trying to point out. Otherwise, these are Kenyans with integrity and competencies that are really required to perform the duties of that Government Department. view
