Whereas the immediate reference might be Webuye Town, the truth of the matter is that the 1,200 people come from far and wide, much beyond the region that is directly affected by virtue of the closure of the factory. First, it is unfortunate that despite the fact that the decision to host the Ministerial WTO Conference was made at least a year ago, this matter was brought to the relevant Parliamentary Committee in the last 24 hours. It is not mentioned. It is silent here. This explicit mention would have been the better thing to do like they have done with the Fund account.
