  • 10 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. On my own behalf, that of the Sirisia people and the County Government of Bungoma at large, I pay my tribute to the family who are here in the Speaker’s Gallery. view
  • 10 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker as we speak, President Moi is already in heaven because he apologised to the nation, the people of Kenya and the world at large. Hon. Speaker, it is not easy for a President to apologise to the people whom he wronged or vice versa. That is why I am saying he is in heaven. • 14 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to speak on this. From the outset, I support the Report. It is a good Report that says that the Regulations should be annulled. In this country, we have enjoyed peace because of accountability of weapons. We are not like South Sudan and other countries where anybody is allowed to walk with firearms. • 14 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: period they have given is very short. To train a soldier to use a firearm takes time. It takes more than 12 months for a soldier to understand how to strip the weapon and put it back to how it is supposed to be. Sometimes even our police officers lack control. We have seen and witnessed some police officers shooting their wives, family members and colleagues because they have been left to keep the firearms in their houses. This has cost some families their loved ones because of lack of control and accountability. It should be like in the military, ... view
  • 12 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for also giving me a chance to speak on this Motion. It is important for us, as a House, to note that former MPs are really suffering. We have witnessed, seen and met them out there. We needed to pass this Bill like yesterday. Leadership comes and goes, but the country remains. Members of Parliament also come and go, but this House will remain. This Bill is very important to all of us, not only for the former MPs, but for all of us, even those who are sitting MPs. It has been long. ... view
