  • 21 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: them, so that they do not operate an illegal computer system in Tanzania and deliver fake news to Kenyans using your illegal system? These are things that are happening. People are setting fake things. There is something we call cyber spoofing where people are masquerading as real people. It is a very serious crime in Pakistan and they have a serious law for it. In Kenya, you find someone creating your Face book account with your name and it will appear like it was you who created it. He will be posting something like I have decided not to vie ... view
  • 20 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this Motion. At the outset, I am wondering why people are looking at the proposed authority only as a roads network authority. view
  • 20 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I am looking at the proposed authority as a body that will be responsible for planning our transport system. I am looking at an authority which will also plan the railway system within the Nairobi metropolis. • 20 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Nairobi as being a sitting room for all the residents. Some people think that Kisumu should be given the same while we are all in Nairobi, as parliamentarians. Machakos, Kiambu and Kajiado are bedrooms. The population of Nairobi during the day is about six million. It is about three million people at night. The 50 per cent of the people living in Nairobi get out of Nairobi at night. We need an authority that is devoid of politics. You remember that during the last regime, all the matatus started coming up to Moi Avenue because of politics. The Governor wants ... view
  • 21 Feb 2018 in National Assembly: They have not touched this thing. Most have been said about the gym. I am looking at this Committee knowing that Members of Parliament need to be in top notch health conditions. I am looking at situations where we could even have some cards to attach ourselves to the main clubs like Railway Club. I see CEOs going to golf and other things that are healthier not in the small gym that we have here. We can have cards that can attach us to things. Long time ago, we had public service clubs. We had things like Nairobi Club. Why ... view
  • 21 Feb 2018 in National Assembly: from the deepest bush. I come from the deepest bush of Lari. So, I need some amenities in Nairobi that I can get access to through this welfare. What is the need of the welfare then? Hon. Speaker, with your permission, this Committee has a lot to offer to us as Members of Parliament and they need to offer to us like yesterday. We need not wait. We approve quickly then they come up with a good strategic plan for our welfare. Thank you. view
  • 30 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: No. I have made my speech before. So, I just wanted to stand and support the Motion. Thank you for giving this chance. I am concerned because of this gazettement. It is taking too long considering that my constituency has only one road. All the other roads are maintained by the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA). I cannot even constitute KeRRA Committee, the four Members are supposed to come from the NG-CDF Committee which is gazetted. While I am waiting for gazettement, the rain is doing havoc on my roads and the people in my constituency are saying I am ... view
  • 29 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support the Motion. As Hon. Melly is preparing the Bill, we will come up with the specifics about the KeRRA Roads. They also need footpaths and drainage. I have a Class C KURA road from the The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 29 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: highway to the hospital. Children cannot go to school because the road does not even have a foot path. It takes motorists a lot of trouble to have to wait for the children to pass the road because it has no drainage and footpath. I happen to have travelled a lot. I have lived in Uganda and it is a mess. The Government did not foresee the boda boda population soaring as it is now and the same problem is in Nigeria. We need to implement this and have service lanes. We need lanes for riders and cyclists. The Netherlands ... view
  • 12 Oct 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. First, I congratulate you for being chosen to be part of the Speaker’s Panel. I am happy that the Speaker’s Panel has somebody I know. I do not know whether I will be rigging. I was in the same school with this boy. I am also happy to support the Motion for Adjournment. It is time for us to go and sit down, reduce the anxiety within our people and continue campaigning for the President. I am also asking the Member for Funyula, if I come to campaign in that area, it is high ... view
