  • 27 Jun 2007 in National Assembly: Bw.
  • 29 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, there is a lot of demand for village polytechnics in various parts of this country. What is the Minister doing to ensure that these polytechnics, some of which are being built through the CDF, are going to be assisted by the Government and operationalised? view
  • 23 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, during the first year this Government was on a spirited mission to issue title deeds in most cases for political reasons. Could the Assistant Minister tell this House, as a follow-up to the question by the hon. Member, whether he is prepared to issue a list of all the people who have been given title deeds during the last four years and those who are still waiting to be given title deeds? view
  • 23 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there is a proliferation of these kinds of promotions in this country today. What assurances can His Excellency the Vice-President give this House that some of these promotions are not actually out to fleece wananchi out of their money? view
  • 23 May 2007 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Tourism and Wildlife:- (a) whether he is aware that game meat is sold in many restaurants and butcheries around the country; (b) whether he could tell the House how many such establishments are licensed to deal in game meat; and, (c) what measures he is taking to ensure that this trade does not lead to the extinction of certain wildlife species. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I do not have the written reply. view
  • 23 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as we speak here, our national heritage is being demolished by unscrupulous hunters and poachers. Could the Minister assure this House that, indeed, he will bring an answer to this House within the period that he is indicating? view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, we have heard so many times about this Wildlife Policy. Could the Minister tell us exactly when he is going to bring it to this House? People are dying! May 16, 2007 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 1395 view
  • 10 May 2007 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Immigration and Registration of Persons:- (a) why Rev. Paul Singh Sodi who applied for Kenyan citizenship in 2001 and holds Immigration Reference No.435689 has not been granted the same; and, (b) why his daughter Meena Singh Sodi is being denied a national identification card yet she is a Kenyan citizen. view
  • 10 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank the Minister for that answer. The Minister has said that the reason why this individual has not been issued with citizenship is because his work permit expired on 24th January, 2007 and that he was supposed to collect some forms on the 18th. This individual has been chasing this citizenship since 2004. In fact, I have a copy of a letter here that was written by the Vice-President then also questioning and wondering why the citizenship had taken so long. Could the Minister tell this House why it has taken almost four years now ... view
  • 10 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, while I am not satisfied with that answer, I would just like to inform the Minister that the elder brother of this girl who is not yet 23 years old is a holder of a Kenyan identity card. view
