• 7 Aug 2019 in National Assembly: I just want to say that I concur that this Bill does not concern counties and if we allow this House to consider it, we will open a trend where the Senate will be violating the Constitution without looking back. I support what the Leader of the Majority Party has said. view

Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 7 of the Bill be amended - (a) in paragraph (a), by deleting the proposed new subsection (2)(b) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph - “(b) has a master’s degree in statistics, economics, demography or mathematics from a recognised university”. (b) by deleting paragraph (b). The justification for the amendment is that it introduces a requirement that the Director- General should have a master’s degree from a recognised university as part of his or her qualifications.
