  • 19 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, we have been promised that this issue of IDPs will be sorted once and for all, since 2008. I have been in the forefront fighting for this. The Assistant Minister has said that all IDPs will be resettled before the end of this year, if land will be available. I think that the Government is taking Kenyans for a ride and it is high time it came out clearly and said whether these Kenyans have a right to be settled like any other Kenyans or they are just playing politics, so that they buy time ... view
  • 11 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: to ask the Minister for Education:- (a) What criteria was used by the Ministry in recruiting primary and secondary school teachers in Njoro and Molo districts in the recent recruitment exercise? (b) Why were all the stakeholders such as the District Education Officers (DEOs), District Commissioners, Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and elected leaders left out of the recruitment panel? (c) Could the Minister explain why only three (3) out of the 530 applicants for the 31 vacancies in Njoro District and only seven (7) out of the 450 applicants for the 30 vacancies in Molo District were successful? view

  • 5 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I am asking the Assistant Minister: What long term plan does the Ministry have to make sure that the roads which they have earmarked for a specific period are completed on time? That is not the only road from Limuru. The hon. Member has a right to complain about it. In my constituency I have some roads which were earmarked for construction and some funds were allocated and yet, they were not completed. In fact, I can give an example of a specific road from Elmentaita to Mau Narok which has never been started. view

  • 4 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is the second time I am rising in this House to ask this Question. Last time, when I raised it, I was promised that the Minister will come to this House and give a comprehensive answer as to why that exercise was conducted irregularly. view
  • 4 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am shocked to hear that the Assistant Minister has come without an answer. I would like you to give us guidelines on how we are going to conduct this business. This is not the first time. view
  • 4 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I concur with the Assistant Minister, but I would like him to reassure this House because this is not the first time that he has said this. Last time he came and promised the same. Today he has come empty handed and he says he is not sure. All I know is that there is a cover-up by his officers in my constituency and they do not want to be discovered. view
