  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Energy:- view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: (a) whether he is aware that Menengai crater has huge potential for geothermal power; (b) what measures the Ministry is taking to ensure that the local residents benefit from the natural resource in terms of employment; and, (c) how many local residents have been employed by Geothermal Development Company. view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I appreciate the answer given by the Assistant Minister. Since geothermal from Menengai Crater is one of the energy sources that we are proud of as the leaders of Nakuru County, we would like to know exactly what is going on especially when it comes to recruitment because from the information I have is that jobs are not advertised and recruitment is somehow done in a very shrewd way. view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, what criteria is the Ministry using to employ the people who have been employed in this company? view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, while I appreciate the answer given by the Assistant Minister, I am not fully convinced. This is because I had asked him to table a list of all the employees who have been employed, and more so from Nakuru County. view
  • 1 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Fisheries Development:- (a) whether he could provide a list of all projects undertaken by the Ministry in Molo Constituency, indicating the respective cost of each project since 2009; and, (b) how many projects are operational. view
  • 1 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, as stated by the Minister, it is true that all these projects were undertaken, but all of them, after being constructed, the Ministry of Fisheries Development never followed them up and all of them collapsed. None of them is working. Could he clarify whether he is in a position to rehabilitate all these fish pond projects? The projects consumed a lot of money and it is going to the drain. view
  • 1 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I do not know whether the Minister is aware of Naishi Fish Pond which was washed away by the heavy rains. The contract was awarded, but the contractor never finished his job. He even never paid the labourers. Could the Minister accompany me to the constituency to see for himself that whatever he has been briefed by his officers are nothing but lies? view
  • 1 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Could I be in order to ask the Minister to be specific and state the date when I can go with him or with whoever he can instruct from the Ministry to the constituency, so that he can verify that what I have said is true? view
  • 27 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I appreciate and applaud the Prime Minister’s contribution. I would like to know how well the Prime Minister has considered the security of this nation. How are the assistant chiefs, chiefs, District Officers (DOs) and the County Commissioners (CC) safe? We know very well that there are some rumours and allegations that some people are talking about secession. The Prime Minister is the most serious contender for the highest office in this land. How safe will he be and make sure that there will be no secession in this Republic? view
