I stand under Standing Order No. 30(3) and (4), which states: “(3) Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2), the House may resolve- (a) to extend its sitting time, or (b) to meet at any other time on a sitting day; or (c) to meet on any other day, in order to transact business. (4) A Motion under paragraph (3)(a) shall be moved at least thirty minutes before the time appointed for adjournment.” view

The matter that the petitioners have raised is very important for this country. These are some of the benefits that Kenyans gained through the new Constitution that they achieved in 2010, where Kenyans can petition Parliament on an issue that is so important to them.
