• 18 Nov 2015 in National Assembly: Lastly, I want to talk about holiday tuition. This should be allowed depending on the circumstances. For example, during the term that has just ended, there was a national strike by teachers. If we condemn tuition 100 per cent, students will be unable to finish their syllabus. I also want to echo the sentiments of my colleague because it is now becoming a bit tricky to operate either in this House or at the constituency level. The people we employed to assist us in the constituencies are really suffering. These people are even going to an extent of borrowing money because they have not been paid by PSC. I want to note that this Petition was brought directly to this House by members of the community. If this community had consulted their Member of Parliament, who is in this House and has contributed to this Petition, maybe it could have been directed better on how to handle this Petition.
