Hon. Speaker, Sir, I thought I might not get a chance and it is very critical information for the Members as they contribute.

Hon. Speaker, Sir, first of all, I wanted to correct hon. Shidiye that this House formed an ad hoc committee to look deeply into the issue of miraa. This committee started its sittings today and I am a Member of the committee. So, it is not good for the Member to make insinuations about miraa while we have a committee, which was approved by the House, to look into that issue. We should wait for the committee to complete its work and bring a report to this House. Then we can all debate the report. Today, the same Member, in ...

Hon. Speaker, Sir, I want to inform the Members that the Industrial Training Levy is contributed by the employers, so that the employees can be trained. So, this money which is contributed by the employers cannot be used as provided by the Industrial Training Act of 2007 to train other people who are not employed in that industry. Thank you, hon. Speaker, Sir. I also want to support my two colleagues because many Kenyans suffered because of the colonialists. It is not only in Kieni or Central Kenya. There are many old men and women in Meru County who are languishing in poverty and yet they fought for Independence.

I do not think that the Jubilee Government can leave its citizens to die because of poverty. This is because when the Attorney-General exonerates the Government from responsibility--- These are Kenyans and, therefore, it will be very good for the Attorney- General not to leave them to suffer under the hands of the colonialists who really tormented them for many years. Most of those colonialists are still in this country.

The Majority Leader who is able, maybe, was in a rush to bring this Statement to this House. He should go back to the Attorney-General to get a better statement and see how these Kenyans can be compensated by the British Government.

Thank you hon. Deputy Speaker. It is my wish to actively contribute to this Motion. With your indulgence, I would like to ask if you could give me even five minutes after this to contribute to this important Motion, which affects my constituents. Hon. Deputy Speaker, I beg to support the amendment as moved by hon. Shebesh because we have an opportunity to put the record straight pertaining the use of miraa . The allegations that have been labeled against miraa will be put on record because, as far as menâs libido is concerned, it depends on the user and ...
