  • 4 Nov 2014 in Senate: That is a very serious remark and I am very serious on the same. If a Member stands to say that if the person asking the question could have stuck to the earlier Standing Order, then he could answer it as a president. Is he in order? I am very serious on that, it is not a joking matter in this House. view
  • 4 Nov 2014 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am not sure whether I am the only one who heard Sen. Sang saying that if the Questioner would have stuck with the first Standing Order mentioned, he could be happy to be answering as a president. Is he in order to give such a statement? view

  • 2 Oct 2014 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am also surprised by the answer given by the Chairman. The Constitution is very clear about issues of discrimination. Nobody should be discriminated against any ground. However, the Chairman has clearly told this House that the Government is discriminating against the citizens of this Country. It is important that they come up with a very comprehensive report on every criteria used for those 30 per cent beneficiaries. That is my intervention. view
  • 25 Sep 2014 in Senate: Thank you Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to support this Motion which has been brought here by a mother, educationist and above all, a legislator. These kinds of Motions are long overdue considering the magnitude of cases affecting the young ones in the countryside. If a policy like this is effectively enacted by both the national and the county governments, the young mothers could also live productive lives. Some of them could also excel very well in the area of sports, especially athletics, if there was a policy to take care of their children who are ... view
  • 15 Aug 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for this opportunity to second this Motion of impeachment. This is one of the toughest challenges when you find yourself in a Committee to fire or retain a person in employment, but this is where we have men and women of knowledge and wisdom; men who have taken oath of office to defend the Constitution of Kenya. In the previous impeachments in this House, both parties have taken a bipartisan approach. In Wambora I, the House unanimously stood to impeach him. In Wambora II, the House took a partisan approach to impeach Wambora. In the ... view

  • 15 Aug 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is my good friend in order to mislead this House that the Deputy Speaker is the only corrupt-free man in Machakos County? Could he substantiate and table documents to support his opinion? view

  • 7 Aug 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for this opportunity to also support this Motion. I concur with my colleague Senators who have raised this issue and send a very clear message, especially to my governor to read the signs of the times very clearly. I hope he will appear before our Committee where we will guide him and clear him the way we have done with the Governor of Kwale. We must commend the Governors of Kwale and Tatia Taveta counties. They are men of repute and substance. They honoured the invitation and came with their teams and we cleared them. ... view
