  • 4 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) whether he is aware that the land surveying (demarcation) in Kyamatu, Endau and Malalani locations has not been undertaken and that surveying in Mutito, Zombe, Kaliku, Thua and Mwitika locations has been done only partially; and, (b) whether he could explain when the survey work will be completed to enable the residents to have their title deeds. view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Mr. Imanyara has made a very serious allegation because we know that State House is the residence of His Excellency the President. It is not restricted to any community in this country. Could the hon. Member substantiate and give proof of members from other communities who have been chased out of State House or withdraw those remarks? view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I did rise at that time on a point of order, and you told me to wait until the Minister answers so that I can rise again. Unless you are contradicting your own ruling, which I respect very much--- view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have no good reason not to withdraw the statement that there were contradictions. I want to make it very clear that when hon. Imanyara made that serious allegation, I stood up on a point of order, but you overruled me. view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I absolutely withdraw and apologise for that. However, I reiterate my position that I stood up at that point in time. view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, could the Assistant Minister confirm or deny that Corner House was sold to well-connected politicians, some of them in this House and others outside? Could he name them? Could he also confirm or deny that he did not follow the Government procedures? view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, my good friend, Mr. Githae, did not get the question. Maybe he was thinking about his usual things! I asked the Assistant Minister to either confirm or deny and he has denied. I did not name anyone! view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) whether is aware that the land surveying (demarcation) in Kyamatu, Endau and Malalani locations has not been undertaken and that surveying in Mutito, Nzombe, Kaliku, Thua and Mwitika locations has been done only partially; and, (b) whether he could explain when the survey work will be completed to enable the residents to have their title deeds. view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want the Assistant Minister to confirm to this House December 3, 2008 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 3831 that he knows that there is a district called Mutomo. Since he did not mention it, and yet it lies in the Eastern region, is he including it in the adjudication because part of my constituency lies in it and so is the area of the hon. Member for Kitui South? This is also the area where the hon. Vice- President and Minister for Home Affairs comes from. view
  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I said you have left out other districts in this crash programme. Apart from Mutomo District, there is also Kyuso District which is where the hon.Vice-President and Minster for Home Affairs comes from. You did not mention it among those districts to be covered by this crash programme exercise. What is the position? view
