statements against me – because I am injured – to substantiate or withdraw and apologize. If that does not happen and we end the matter the way we have ended it, Kenyans will still ask themselves how the matter was resolved.

25 Apr 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to ask for your indulgence because it is, indeed, very unfortunate that this Question is appearing for the fourth time. The Minister for Roads himself had to visit Ngai Ndethya in Mutito Constituency and he promised that there will be comprehensive repairs. If you look at the answer, you will find that the Assistant Minister is talking about Kshs3,600,000 to be spent on a stretch of 12 kilometres, in gullies which are supposed to have safe barriers and retarmacking. Mr. Speaker, Sir, would I be in order to request that this Question be deferred so ...

25 Apr 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, now that the Assistant Minister has confirmed that he was there and something is being done, could he, please, ensure that at least there are sufficient funds? An amount of Kshs3,600,000 is nothing to Ngai Ndethya if he has been there and he knows that people are dying every day when cars roll into those gullies. Could he ensure that more money is added almost immediately because the rains have started?

19 Apr 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Finance the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Is the Minister aware that Ms Mastermind Tobacco (K) Limited has not been remitting taxes since 2007 and now owes the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) more than Kshs.12 billion? (b) Why has the company not paid the arrears despite several Tax Demand letters sent to them by KRA? (c) Can the Minister confirm that the failure by KRA to enforce the several tax demand notices is attributed to corruption and, if so, what measures will the Ministry take to ensure that ...

19 Apr 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is misleading the House by saying that the arrears which are supposed to be paid by Mastermind Tobacco are subject to a court case. The court case which is there is only on the issues up to April, 2010. What about the rest of the unpaid taxes, penalties and interest before and thereafter? I want to table the court order to show that Assistant Minister is misleading the House on those issues.

19 Apr 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, is the Assistant Minister in order to continue misleading Kenyans who work hard and pay taxes that except the ones who are friends of the Prime Minister that they should not be paying taxes? I want to table a letter here where the Prime Minister is instructing that this company’s taxes should not be collected. Further, I want to table another document which shows – and this is a big shame to Kenya – that when the Prime Minister went to look for grants abroad in Norway--- Here is a letter which says that Kenya’s Prime ...

19 Apr 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to challenge that. I have no interest other than to make sure that everybody pays taxes to the Kenya Government. I want to challenge my friend, hon. Mbadi, to substantiate his claims.
