  • 10 May 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Judging by the mood of the House and Members are now repeating themselves, would I be in order to request that the Mover be called upon to reply? view
  • 9 May 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Forestry and Wildlife:- (a) if he is aware that Mr. Ndewa Mulatya was bitten by a snake and was treated at Kitui District Hospital (AD/NO.3128/08) on 26th August, 2008; (b) why the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has not compensated him despite their commitment to do so; and, (c) when he will be compensated. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have not received the answer to this Question as yet. view
  • 9 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to thank the Assistant Minister for this answer. However, when this Question came up last week, he asked for more time, so that he could give a comprehensive answer. He has said that he will be paid in May, 2012. We are in the month of May. When do we get the actual payment and how much is it? view
  • 9 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister must be aware that reasons for human/animal conflicts have been caused by the small amounts of compensation. If you look at the Kenya Wildlife Service Act, the money which is paid when somebody is injured by an animal is very minimal. What will the Assistant Minister do to ensure that they review that figure upwards given that the medical expenses and funeral expenses have gone up? view
  • 2 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I agree with the Minister that, indeed, heavy rains are pounding this country and, therefore, bridges are being swept away. People cannot get to their places because of the rains. For instance, in Mutito Constituency, the bridge on Thua River has been swept away by the heavy rains. What emergency funds has the Minister set aside to ensure that these bridges, which are being swept away by the heavy rains, are repaired? view
  • 2 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, many places in this country have minerals, but the Government is not doing enough to protect the illiterate land owners from exploitation by these cartels. Could the Government tell us what comprehensive plan it has to ensure that the locals are not exploited? view
  • 2 May 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is the Assistant Minister in order to mislead the House that the Bill they are yet to table here will address the issues of exploitation of land owners by these cartels? I have had the privilege to see it and it primarily talks about the distribution of resources between the national Government and devolved governments. What about the exploitation of the people? view
  • 26 Apr 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for your ruling. I happen to be the Member of Parliament who has been injured by those allegations. I am a family man, a Christian and a Member of Parliament. Aspersion cannot be cast on the integrity of this House through me. On the material day, I was doing nothing, but my national duty as a senior Member of this House who has served for two terms. Anywhere I walk, people look at me with a lot of suspicions as that Member who is an extortionist, who went to Mastermind Kenya Limited and took money. ... view
  • 26 Apr 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I stand guided. While I stand guided, I can still tell you this and I also want Kenyans to know. view
  • 26 Apr 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to tell the House that if, indeed, it is proved that I was involved in any matter of extortion as an hon. Member of this House, I am even willing to tender my resignation as a Member of the House. That is how grave this matter is to me. It is also incumbent upon my colleagues who also made those view
